4.Minimum 1000 / – balance to be maintained in the account holder of the village branch.

Asked about the imposition of these charges, a senior SBI official said: “The major change is in charges for non-maintenance of minimum balance, ATM and cash management charges.”
But then, it makes a big difference. ATM charges that go beyond the mandatory limit will double from ₹ 5 to ₹ 10.
